Angus car crash leaves passenger seriously injured

ONE person has been seriously injured in an early morning crash in Angus.

The accident happened shortly after midnight on the A933 Arbroath to Brechin Road, about half a mile south of the junction to Friockhiem.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “A Honda Civic and Silver Ford Fiesta motor car were travelling together when the Black Honda Civic lost control and collided with a tree, resulting in the driver sustaining minor injuries and the passenger sustaining serious injuries. Both were taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee for treatment, but their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.”

He added: “Police Scotland ask that anyone who was in the area at the time, anyone who may have witnessed the accident or anyone who may have seen the vehicles together contact them by phoning 101 or speaking to any Police Officer.”
