Ryanair is set to fly winter holidaymakers from the capital to the sunny climes of Fuertaventura for the first time.

The airline launched its Edinburgh winter 2013 schedule yesterday, with 23 routes, including four to Bratislava, Gothenburg City, Rome and for the first time in winter, Fuerteventura, all beginning in October 2013.

The airline celebrated the launch with a 100,000-seat sale across its entire European network, with prices from just £22.99 for travel in July and August, which are available for booking until midnight on Monday July 1.
