A9 Kessock Bridge southbound closed following road traffic collision near Inverness

The Kessock Bridge, which carries the A9 trunk road across the Beauly Firth, has been closed to Southbound traffic following a road traffic collision.

Traffic Scotland alerted drivers to the crash this morning at 11.27am, via Twitter.

Drivers have been told to expect delays and have also been asked to take an alternative route in the meantime.

As of yet, it is unclear as to how serious the crash is, how many vehicles were involved and if there are any casualties.
