A1 Crash: Major road closed in both directions after serious three vehicle collision

A serious three vehicle collision on the A1 has caused the road to be closed as emergency services attend the scene.

The crash happened around 10.30am on Monday.

An air ambulance is reportedly at the scene, along with the police.

The vehicles involved are a tractor and trailer, an HGV and a car.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 10.30am on Monday, 16 November 2020, officers were called to a report of a three vehicle crash involved a tractor and trailer, an HGV and a car on the A1 near Cockburnspath.

"Three men have been taken by ambulance to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh with injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.

"The road remains closed and local diversions are in place."
