Trading places will help us build school brick by brick

STUDENTS at Leith Academy held an International Market Place event recently that brought together local traders and pupils.

Pupils Laura Burns and Eilidh MacKay were showing off the “money house”, which allowed people at the event to buy bricks for a school in Malawi.

The pupils were also selling cupcakes and T-shirts they had made.

The event saw pupils take to the stage to perform music inspired by different countries, and they also held a fairtrade fashion show.
