Toy store to create more than 30 jobs

A NEW toy superstore is to open at Edinburgh’s Fort Kinnaird retail park, creating more than 30 jobs.

Smyths Toys Superstores announced it would open the 15,000 sq ft unit on June 30. It said the jobs would range from retail assistants to management positions, with further posts expected later in the year.

Smyths now trades from almost 60 stores throughout the UK and Ireland and employs more than 1500 people. A spokesman said: “We hope to provide some fantastic employment opportunities and are seeking motivated, enthusiastic staff.
