Top title for John Lewis

DEPARTMENT store chain John Lewis was today named as Britain's favourite retailer.

The company, which has a branch in the St James Centre, won the title of best store for customer satisfaction following a poll of 6,000 shoppers who were asked to rank shops on range, price, quality, service, ambience, facilities and lay-out.
