Top marks for airport

EDINBURGH Airport has been named the best for its size in Europe.

Edinburgh came first in the five-to-ten million passengers a year category at the annual Airports Council International's Europe's Best Airport awards in Lisbon, Portugal, after it was praised by judges for the "dedication of its management and staff".

The airport's managing director, Kevin Brown, said: "The past year has been challenging to say the least, and I'm particularly pleased that the team was singled as the factor that secured us this award."
