Top jazz star croons about Tony Bennett

Todd Gordon, one of Britain’s finest jazz and swing singers, is to make a welcome return to the Brunton Theatre with a new show celebrating the legendary crooner Tony Bennett.

As a young fan he was invited on to the stage of the Usher Hall by the legendary Ella Fitzgerald, who proceeded to serenade him, and went on to meet many of his jazz idols including Bing Crosby, Rosemary Clooney, Count Basie and Bennett.

Following that meeting, Edinburgh-based Todd was given the singer’s blessing to produce a new show devoted to the classic songs that Bennett popularised back in the 1950s and 1960s.
