The partnership was formed in 2005 by the local authority and the health board with the aim of bringing community-based health and social care together to offer a better public service.

Cllr Toner said: “I am looking forward to the challenges this new role will bring, and to build upon and continue the excellent work the CHCP delivers to the local community.”

The CHCP manages a range of services including community care, personal care, residential care, mental health, and GPs.
