Three injured in A1 pile up

AT least three people have been injured in a collision involving five cars and a lorry this morning.

The pile up, which happened on the A1 opposite the Queen Margaret junction, near Newcraighall, happened at 8.35am.

Police and firefighters are currently at the scene.

One male has already been cut free and stabilised, and is now being treated at the ERI.

Two passengers, one female, 30, and one male, 35, are still trapped. Firefighters are working to free the pair.

The extent and seriousness of injuries is not yet known.
