Three hurt in car smash

TWO adults and a child were taken to hospital after two cars collided yesterday.

The vehicles crashed in Queensferry Road around 3.10pm, leading to tailbacks and congestion as emergency services attended the scene.

Three ambulances attended the incident, taking the adults to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary and the child – aged seven – to the Sick Kids.

The road was reduced to one lane for around two hours while the vehicles, one of which was a white Ferrari, were cleared.

The crash took place outside the Orchard Brae House office block and across from Stewart’s Melville College.

The injuries sustained were not thought to be serious.
