Three cut free after car crash in Highlands

THREE people had to be cut free from their vehicles following a collision involving two cars near Grantown-on-Spey, in the Highlands.

The accident happened on the A95 just after 5.30am today.

One of the casualties was airlifted to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness, while the other two were taken by road ambulance to the same hospital.

The extent of their injuries is not yet known.

The road was closed in both directions and police were at the scene diverting traffic.
