Three arrests as police find stolen goods

A POLICE raid recovered £50,000 worth of stolen goods in an operation which also saw three people arrested over the haul.

Several addresses in the Craigmillar area were searched on Wednesday, leading to the recovery of an Audi A6, several items of high-value jewellery, and a laptop computer.

A 45-year-old woman and 43-year-old man were charged in connection with the recovery of the stolen items. They are both set to appear in court at a later date.

A 20-year-old man was also arrested and charged in connection with two alleged break-ins. He was set to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court yesterday.

A police spokesman said: “The force is committed to bringing those involved in acquisitive crime to justice.”
