Thieves tow truck away

THIEVES made off with a Mercedes truck from a Lothian industrial estate.

The Mercedes 408D VRM was stolen from a garage at the Poltonhall Industrial Estate in Bonnyrigg, Midlothian, at around 12:30pm on Wednesday.

Police said a Ford Transit towed the vehicle toward the M8 in the direction of Livingston.

A police spokeswoman appealed for information.
