Thieves take away bikes

THIEVES who claim they are delivering takeaway menus are being hunted after bikes were stolen in the north of the city.

Five bicycles were taken from addresses in Inverleith Terrace, Comely Bank Avenue and Rodney Street between May 16 and June 5. The combined value of the stolen cycles is around £1500.

In each case, individuals claiming to be delivering takeaway menus had been allowed entry to the common stairs.
