Thieves steal power tools in break-in

CHAINSAWS and hedge cutters were among the power tools stolen by thieves during a break-in at a city business.

The theft took place sometime between 2.45pm on Thursday and 6.30am on Friday from Frontier Forestry Ltd in Peffer Place, Craigmillar.

Staff arrived on Friday morning to find the premises had been broken into and a number of tools including chainsaws, hedge cutters and a leaf blower had been taken.

The total value for the theft is around £7500.

A police spokesman said: “This crime has had a significant impact on the company’s operations and we are urging anyone who can help identify those responsible to contact police immediately.”
