Thieves steal charity box at golf club

POLICE are investigating a raid on a West Lothian golf club in which a charity box and £300 cash was stolen.

Thieves broke into the Oatridge Club in Broxburn between 2.50am and 3.10am on Monday morning making off with cash from the till, a charity donation box and a selection of sweets.

The first suspect is described as being white, 18-20 years old with a slim build. He was wearing all dark clothing and white trainers.

The second suspect is also described as white, aged 18-20 with a slim build and wearing all dark clothing, white trainers and a Tammy hat.

A police spokesman said: "The club's management are obviously upset that their own cash and that raised for a charity has been stolen, along with other items."
