Theatre set for premieres

THE Traverse Theatre has announced it will be presenting two world premieres during its autumn season.

A performance of Morna Pearson’s The Artist Man and the Mother Woman will take to the stage in November, then the Arthur Conan Doyle Society will then be presented, in association with Peepolykus, in December.

Also by way of celebrating its 50th anniversary the theatre will run a project working with 50 emerging playwrights to create a festival of their work. Three plays will then be ­commissioned.
