Teenager racially abused Asian shop owner

A TEENAGER who taunted an Asian shop owner using racially offensive language has been told to carry out 45 hours of unpaid work under a community payback order.

Mark McQueen, 16, of Linlithgow, West Lothian, earlier pleaded guilty to acting in a racially aggravated manner in the town’s Douglas Avenue on August 19 last year.

He admitted shouting and swearing at Babar Khan, whose address was given as c/o Lothian and Borders Police, and had sentence deferred for three months.
