Teenager charged over assault outside nightclub

A TEENAGER has been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged assault outside a nightclub which left the victim with a suspected fractured skull.

A 22-year-old man was being treated at the ERI following the incident outside the Sin Nightclub on the Cowgate at around 2.15am on Saturday. A 17-year-old man has been charged in connection with the attack.

Police said they were eager to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident.

A police spokesman said: "Despite having made an arrest in connection with this incident, we are still urging any members of the public who saw anything suspicious to contact police."
