Teen struck by bottle in nightclub

The incident happened within Lava and Ignite in west Tollcross at around 1.35am on Sunday, October 31.

The 19-year-old victim was in the club with friends when she was struck by a glass bottle, allegedly thrown by a male who has been arrested and charged.

She suffered facial injuries and was taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for treatment.

A police spokesman said: "The victim has suffered cuts to her face and a chipped tooth and she has been left understandably shaken.

"We want anyone who saw what happened or who has any information that could assist to contact police."
