Teen charged over break-in

The break-in was carried out at around 1.20pm on Monday in Hillpark Grove, with two men seen making off through rear gardens towards Queensferry Road.

The two suspects then asked a passing motorist for a lift, but were declined and the driver then called police.

The 18-year-old who was later arrested was scheduled to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today.

Police are now hunting for a second man believed to be involved in the incident. A spokesman said: "We are keen to speak again with the motorist who called in as they may be able to provide a description of the second male."
