Team effort as football match raises funds for charity

Money collectors from the Lothian and Borders Battalion Army Cadet Force take shelter from the rain before a game of football to raise funds for Help for Heroes, a charity that helps injured soldiers.

The match, between Edinburgh United 96 under-15s and the Royal Regiment of Scotland, raised hundreds of pounds, and saw a 3-1 victory for the soldiers.

Jacqueline Sweeny, team secretary for the under 15s team said money from the match would go towards helping injured or traumatised soldiers, such as funding counselling for those suffering post-traumatic stress disorder.
