Tea party raises £250 for charity

A HOSPICE has launched a new funding bid by holding a tea party in the Capital.

Marie Curie Hospice is aiming to raise cash through its Blooming Great Tea Party campaign, with the aim of paying for more nurses to provide free care to people with terminal cancer and other illnesses.

The tea party, which was held at the hospice’s new temporary home at the Western General Hospital, was attended by patients and Marie Curie nurses. More than £250 was raised.

Fiona Bushby, community fundraising manager for Marie Curie, said: “We had great fun holding our Blooming Great Tea Party.”
