Taxing topic for talk

The unusual topic of 18th-century taxation records – and how they can help family history research – will be discussed at the next meeting of The Scottish Genealogy Society.

The talk, by Joy Dodd, will be held at Augustine United Church Centre, on George IV Bridge, on Monday at 7.30pm.

Entry is free to members or £2 for non-members. Founded in 1953 and run by volunteers, the society helps with research into Scottish family and local history.
