Talks focus on anti-Islam film

A CONFERENCE to be attended by Muslims and politicians will be held at the city’s Annandale Mosque on Sunday.

It follows a demonstartion by 100 Muslims at Holyrood calling for a ban on offensive material such as the anti-Islam film which has sparked protests around the world.

Demonstrators waved banners reading “No religion is allowed to insult any other religion” and “We demand international law to stop religious hatred”.

The film Innocence Of Muslims, made in the US, has sparked international unrest. Protest spokesman Akeel Umar said the conference would explore the issues raised.
