Talk on mental health history

THE latest in a series of lectures to commemorate the Royal Edinburgh Hospital’s 200th anniversary is to take place next week.

Gayle Davis, a lecturer in the history of medicine at Edinburgh University, will explore the relationship between psychiatry and gender over the 19th and 20th centuries next Wednesday from 4pm.

It will be the fourth in a series of eight lectures, highlighting 200 years of mental health care provision in Lothian.
