Taking the lead in noise nuisance fight

A GIANT dog was unleashed on the Capital to launch a crackdown on unruly pooches.

Environmental wardens are targeting ear-splitting barking during Noise Action Week.

Crista Carroll and Evayn Burns got some advice from the furry friend which leapt on to the Greyfriars Bobby statue at the top of Candlemaker Row yesterday.

The city council said it dealt with hundreds of complaints about dogs barking each year.
