Take note of concerts in historic kirk

A SERIES of ground-breaking concerts at Dalmeny Kirk is to resume on Sunday.

Concerts in the Kirk are the first in its 900-year history.

An audience of up to 100 are invited to a two-course dinner with wine in the church hall before the candlelit concerts.

Sunday’s concert will feature a wind septet and a string quartet from the National Youth Orchestra of Scotland.

The series, which began in autumn 2011, will continue on April 15 with pianist Steven Osborne in concert with his wife, the American clarinettist Jean Johnson.

On May 20, Mr McFall’s Chamber will play a mixed repertoire of classical, jazz and tango.
