Take up money challenge

Livingston Labour MP Graeme Morrice is urging young people in West Lothian to consider entering the Money for Life Challenge, a new national competition for 16 to 24-year-old students in further education, work-based learning or adult community learning.

Entrants are asked to think of an idea for a money management project, get a team together and apply online for a £500 grant to implement their idea.

Mr Morrice MP said: “With the dire economic situation leaving many young people struggling financially, there has never been a better time to think up new ideas that will help their money go a little further.”

Further details are available at www.moneyforlifechallenge.org.uk. Applications close on January 27.
