Suu Kyi celebrates birthday in freedom

For the first time in nearly a decade Burmese Noble Peace Prize winner Aung San Suu Kyi celebrated her birthday in freedom yesterday.

Supporters freed symbolic caged birds as more than 50 state security agents watched from across the street.

The 66-year-old's youngest son, Kim Aris, who lives in Britain, arrived on a visit.
