Supermarket ruling due

A CONTROVERSIAL application to build a new supermarket in Broxburn is expected to be decided today.

Tesco want to build a 4600 square metre store at the old candleworks site in the town.

West Lothian Council has recommended that the plans are given the go-ahead at today’s meeting of the development management committee.

The recommendation was made in spite of objections from three community councils, a local traders association and Sainsbury’s, which also wants to open a store at another location in Broxburn.
