Sun shines as judges visit

Britain in Bloom judges brought the sun with them when they visited North
Berwick yesterday.

The town is hoping to repeat the success of 2010, when it took the gold medal for coastal towns with a population of 12,000 or more.

The judges began at 8.30am on an overcast morning, and ended the day in bright sunshine, having viewed many areas of the town and harbour.

Rosie Oberlander, chair of the In Bloom volunteers, said: “They clearly enjoyed the range of things they saw. The town was looking very colourful.”
