Students you can bank on

THE first group of Lloyds Scholars from Edinburgh University have been welcomed to the programme by the university’s principal and vice chancellor, Professor Sir Timothy O’Shea.

The Lloyds Scholars Programme, launched originally as a pilot in 2011, is designed to support and encourage students from lower-income households to study at leading academic and research universities.

Sir Timothy said: “We are incredibly proud of the calibre of our students and I am delighted that we are the first Scottish university to partner with the Lloyds Scholars programme.

“Inspiring and supporting Scottish scholars to build their business acumen with Lloyds Banking Group will be greatly beneficial to the students as they develop their future careers.”
