Students get in the picture

STUDENTS from Edinburgh's Telford College are inviting movie-lovers to attend their Graduation Film Show at the Filmhouse tomorrow.

Fourteen students from the HND in Creative Industries' Television course have been preparing their short films for months, including writing, producing, directing and editing, for what will be their final end-of-year graduation show.

The film show will offer a range of dramas and documentaries, including a hockey player's attempts to get off the substitutes' bench and the hunt for a fugitive hamster.

Curriculum leader of lens-based media at the college, Fergus Robb, said: "The students have really worked hard on developing the skills to make it in the competitive television industry and I hope that those who come along will not only be highly entertained, but will also see for themselves the talent and potential of these young filmmakers."

The show starts at 6pm. Tickets, priced 6.90 and 5.20 for concessions, are available from the Filmhouse box office.
