Students in driving seat

THREE Jewel & Esk College students have made it through to today’s Scottish regional final of the British Schools Karting Championship.

The competition saw more than 600 teams and over 1800 students across the UK compete this year.

Jewel & Esk College’s karting team includes Hannah Chapman, 18, and Ryan Smith, 17, both from Dunbar, and Michael Boyd, 17, from Edinburgh. Today’s final was being held at Xtreme Karting in Newbridge.
