Up to £130,000 will be made available through the Saltire Scholarship Outward Mobility Fund in 2012-13 to universities, colleges and student associations.
Robin Parker, president of NUS Scotland, said: “We greatly welcome the news that, through the Saltire Scholarship Scheme, the Scottish Government is helping provide opportunities for students to see the world as part of their studies.”

“This fund will build upon the opportunities already available to study overseas and complements our existing Saltire Scholarships programme.”
