Student denies cleaver murder

A STUDENT accused of murdering his classmate's wife with a meat cleaver has denied the killing.

Prosecutors claim engineering graduate Roshan Dantis, 30, attacked Khusbu Shah at the home she shared with her husband, Nagendra, in the Dennistoun area of Glasgow on 1 June

The dismembered body of Mrs Shah, 21, from Nepal, was discovered dumped in bushes behind her house.

Dantis told the High Court in Glasgow yesterday of his move to the UK to further his studies.

Defence counsel Donald Findlay asked the accused: "Did you have any part to play whatsoever in the killing of Khusbu Shah?

Dantis replied: "No sir."

He is accused of murdering Mrs Shah in her home last year.
