Street’s festive spirit stolen

Police are investigating after around ten Christmas wreaths were stolen from front doors in an upmarket Edinburgh street. Residents on Lennox Street discovered their festive door decorations had been removed yesterday afternoon.

Only one wreath remains hanging in the New Town street. Disappointed resident Miranda Heggie explained she felt that the theft had, “robbed an entire street and neighbourhood of their Christmas spirit”.

A spokeswoman for Lothian and Borders police confirmed there had been reports of missing Christmas decorations from Lennox Street and said officers were investigating.
