Strachan returns to school

EX-Scotland footballer Gordon Strachan dropped into his old high school yesterday to deliver some coaching tips to budding talents during an impromptu training session.

Strachan, who won 50 caps for his country, took time out from his broadcasting duties to visit Craigroyston Community High School, off Pennywell Road.

The 55-year-old, who is also patron of Spartans Community Football Academy, passed on some training techniques to players on the school’s astroturf pitch.
