Store looks out for pupils

JOHN Lewis has donated a piece of specialist equipment to Oaklands Special School that allows its pupils to communicate using eye movements.

Oaklands School, in Ferry Road, provides education for children and young people with severe learning difficulties.

The Tobii Eye Gaze machine, which costs 12,700, works by using infra-red technology to track eye movement so teachers are informed when pupils are interacting with lessons.
