Still time to meet Santa in his grotto

THERE is still time to meet Santa in his grotto as he continues to make his way across the Capital to spread festive cheer.

As part of the Evening News and Lothian Buses Christmas Appeal, he will pull up in Princes Street today – between Frederick Street and The Mound – from noon to 4pm.

Families will have the chance to meet Father Christmas and make a donation towards buying new equipment for the Sick Kids hospital and Princess Alexandra Eye Pavilion.

Santa’s next stop will then be Murrayburn School on Monday, from 1.15pm to 2.15pm, before he heads to Wester Hailes Education Centre on Tuesday, from 11.30am to 12.30pm.

As part of our appeal, we are also asking readers to donate gifts to children who will be spending the festive period in the Sick Kids.

Unwrapped gifts can be handed into any Lothian Buses travel shop (Waverley Bridge, Hanover Street, Shandwick Place and Jarnac Court in Dalkeith).

Presents particularly needed are those for babies and older teenagers, to help bring a smile to their faces this Christmas.
