Stars toast hearing checks bid

A HOST of celebrities have backed charity Action on Hearing Loss to encourage people in Edinburgh who struggle to hear the traditional toasts at a Burns Supper to take a quick and easy hearing check.

TV presenters Carol Smillie and Jenni Falconer, as well as writer Armando Ianucci, all backed the call for locals to take advantage of a free hearing check.

Iannucci said: “It takes on average ten years for people who realise they have hearing loss to get a hearing aid or treatment. Don’t struggle to hear at ten more Burns Suppers.”
