Star gets his hooks into role

EDINBURGH actor Cal Macaninch is set to take on his toughest role yet – as a Celtic Captain Hook.

The Portobello-based star, best known for his roles in Wild At Heart and Holby Blue, is starring in a new adaptation of Peter Pan at the Festival Theatre from 8-12 June.

The show is set in Victorian Edinburgh and reinvents the villain as a punk in a kilt.
