Stabbing trial begins

THE trial of a man who allegedly stabbed a senior accountant in Edinburgh has begun.

Leslie Cumming, an ex-chief accountant with the Law Society of Scotland, was attacked in a lane behind his Murrayfield home in 2006.

Robert Graham, 46, denies the attack, with the prosecution alleging Mr Cumming was set upon by the man who was partially masked.

The jury was shown photographs of the injuries he sustained to his face and body.
