Stab victim in hospital after gang attack

A man is in hospital after being attacked by a “large group” of men and women in West Lothian.

It is understood that the victim was stabbed during the incident on Mayfield Drive, Armadale, at around 10pm last night.

A man and woman are currently being questioned by officers.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “The incident occurred last night at around 10pm when a large group of men and women assaulted a man. Police and emergency services were called and the injured man was taken to Monklands Hospital, where he is currently detained in a stable condition.

“A man and a woman have been detained by officers, however enquiries are still ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
