Spring clean in park is just bags of fun

GEMMA Richards and Neasa Ni'Mhurchu were among those who took part in a "spring clean" of Craigmillar Castle Park.

In 1997, Boroughmuir High pupils planted 900 trees in the park with their teacher Robin Harper, now Green MSP for the Lothians.

At the same time, Mr Harper planted some oak trees which he had grown from acorns. And on the day of the clean-up he went back to help pick up litter and also inspect the trees.
