Applications are open for the Miss Edinburgh contest.

The final of this year’s competition will be held in Dirty Martini in the Le Monde Hotel on October 8. It will include four rounds – casual wear, swimwear, evening wear and a “mystery round”.

The 12 finalists will also be taken on a photographic tour of Edinburgh by sponsors World By Lens.

Contestants will be shown how to take the perfect snap of the city’s landmarks.
