SIx men are due to appear in court in Livingston today after two days of raids targeting organised drug gangs in West Lothian as part of Operation Focus.

Four people were arrested yesterday morning after dawn raids in Armadale and Fauldhouse.

Later yesterday two men were arrested in Blackburn after being caught in possession of an estimated £10,000 of heroin.

Chief Superintendent Jeanette McDiarmid, West Lothian’s divisional commander, said: “This morning’s raids follow on from the activity undertaken yesterday.

“Drugs with an estimated street value of £1.5 million have been seized as part of this enquiry, along with £82,000 in cash. We are continuing to carry out high-visibility patrols in the communities affected in order to provide reassurance to local residents”
